Wakeland High School leads way in inaugural Love Serving Frisco Food Drive

FRISCO, Texas – The Wakeland High School (Frisco, Texas) boys and girls tennis teams combined to donate 1,146 items to the Frisco Family Services Food Pantry to lead the way in the inaugural Keeper of The Game – Love Serving Frisco Food Drive.
Overall, 1,791 items (cases of bottled water, ketchup, laundry soap, mayonnaise, noodles, salad dressing, spaghetti sauce, sugar, surface cereal, tomato sauce, etc.) were donated from April 24-25.
The WHS tennis teams, who are coached by Heidi King, received a trophy and pizza party from Durkin’s Pizza for their efforts.
“What a great effort by the Wakeland Wolverines,” Keeper of The Game Executive Director Bryan Hoctor said. “They set the bar at a great level for all to match in 2022.”
Numerous volunteers, including Frisco ISD student-athletes, helped unload and sort items during drop-off days at the food pantry.
