FRISCO, Texas – The Keeper of The Game Foundation is proud to announce it will host a free Movie Night for the second consecutive year, this time on Friday, Jan. 17 at Legacy Christian Academy (LCA). The Disney baseball film, The Rookie, will be shown and food will be provided by Durkin’s Pizza.
The event – held in LCA’s lunch commons area – is free of charge for special needs families and Keeper of The Game supporters. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin at 7 p.m. Guests must RSVP by clicking here.
Scheduled to be in attendance are Kansas City Royals first baseman and Wakeland High School product Ryan O’Hearn, Texas Rangers pitcher Matt Bush, and Oakland Athletics prospect Collin Theroux. Keeper of The Game Miracle League Player Representative Amber McDonald and Hannah Species, who are subjects of Emily Jones’ hit children’s book, Something Special in the Stands, will also be on hand. WFAA Channel 8 feature reporter Sean Giggy returns as emcee.
There will also be silent auction items and the 2019 Keeper of The Game Award winner will be announced.
“We are thankful for the generosity of Legacy Christian Academy to be the site of our second annual movie night,” Keeper of The Game Founder James Vilade said. “We look forward to celebrating the people and families we have served for more than five years. Our foundation is deeply rooted in the Frisco community and we are excited to once again enjoy an amazing evening together with baseball on the big screen.”
