Keeper of The Game hosts Wakeland High School for “Out to The Ballgame” Day at Dr Pepper Ballpark

Wakeland Group Stands WEBFRISCO, Texas – The Keeper of The Game Foundation hosted Wakeland High School’s Special Education Department for “Out to The Ballgame” Day on May 23 at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The group of 18 students and nine teachers from Frisco ISD were treated to a Double-A Minor League Baseball game between the Frisco RoughRiders and San Antonio Missions – an 11-1 win by the RoughRiders. They also received WHS-themed Keeper of the Game T-shirts and got autographed photos from RoughRiders players Alex Burg, Zach Cone and Sam Wolff.
“It was great to roll out the ‘Out to the Ballgame’ program for 2016,” Keeper of The Game Executive Director Bryan Hoctor said. “We had a great time hosting the folks from Wakeland High School. Everyone went home with a T-shirt and autographs, and got to see a RoughRiders win. It was a wonderful day.”
This is the second consecutive year Keeper of The Game has partnered with the Frisco Roughriders for the “Out to The Ballgame” program. The special education baseball outings – held on weekday day games – are also made possible by generous donations.
