Keeper of The Game announces Middle School Match Up Leadership Award winners

FRISCO, Texas – The Keeper of The Game Foundation is pleased to announce Cade Hill, Max Compton and Bennett Fryman as winners of the third annual Middle School Match Up – Keeper of The Game Leadership Awards.
Hill is an 8th grader at Willow Springs Middle School in Lovejoy ISD, while Compton is a 7th grader at Wester Middle School and Fryman is a 6th grader at Trent Middle School – both Frisco ISD schools.
“Congratulations to Cade, Max and Bennett on their selection as Middle School Matchup – Keeper of The Game Leadership Award winners,” Keeper of The Game Executive Director Hoctor said. “I am extremely impressed by their leadership skills on and off the field. These three young men take a great interest in the game of baseball, their teammates and the community. They are true Keepers of The Game.”
Hoctor presented the trio their awards on June 2 during a ceremony in front of family and friends at the Frisco RoughRiders’ main office inside Dr Pepper Ballpark. Hill, Compton and Fryman will be honored on the field before a RoughRiders game later this season as the contest that day was postponed due to rain.
Middle School Match Up, which was held in the Dallas area on Nov. 11-13, is a one-weekend tournament where middle school students can play baseball, representing their respective middle schools. The event allows students to compete for school pride and bragging rights despite not having an organized school team until high school.
Players are nominated for the Middle School Matchup – Keeper of The Game Leadership Award by their coaches.
